Human Leadership: Vision, Strategy, and Values
We customize solutions for our clients by focusing on “human” motivations and core values to help our leaders and organizations develop their leadership skills to drive change. We help teams clarify their vision and align strategy to what they care about most. We do this through:

We journey with our clients by seeking first to understand, then to collaboratively design solutions that are actionable and finally to support our clients through the painful change process.

Creativity and Innovation: Experience Design (Design Thinking)
We guide our clients to harness creativity and innovation.

98 percent of us were considered high potential for innovation before the age of 5 years old. Only 2 percent by the age of 30. Both Picasso and Einstein attribute their genius to their child-like thinking as adults. Our process is simple: integrate the attributes of child-like thinking with organic systemic thinking and process oriented problem solving. Take everything you’ve learned as an adult (wisdom) and everything you left behind as a child (imagination) and put it in a bottle, shake well before opening, and you have lighting in a bottle (creative genius)! Or to put it simply: what would a five year old savant do?

We use Design Thinking as a powerful tool for innovation. Awaken Group is one of the primary design facilitators for Design Thinking in Singapore selected by SPRING Singapore, a government-funded enterprise development agency.

Adaptive Leadership: Cultural Adaptability
We work with our clients to move beyond merely “being diverse” to “integrating diversity of thought” to celebrate and leverage unique strengths. We are also certified through the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI) to conduct cultural adaptability assessments.

Every organization, team, group is made up of unique individuals who are different. There is diversity in thought, experience, ethnicity, gender, belief and the list goes on. It’s impossible to avoid diversity. The question is: What will we do with that diversity? How often do we try to create replicas of that same “A” player or limit someone by placing their unique “square-shaped” gifts into a “round-holed” job description. Our approach starts with celebrating the diversity and then designing a solution that integrates the differences to drive higher levels of performance.

Assessments: We provide individual character assessments and 360 degree feedback of current executives or potential hires based on fit with strategic objectives. We conduct organizational assessments to gauge the “health” and overall leadership effectiveness of organizations. Please click here for a client example.   • TLC logoThe Leadership Circle™ (TLC) utilizes breakthrough leadership development tools including 360 degree assessment for individual leadership profiles that gives you “the whole picture” by connecting patterns of action with habits of thought.   • IDI logoIntercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) is a statistically reliable, cross-culturally valid measure of intercultural competence adapted from the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity. The IDI can generate an in-depth profile of an individual’s or groups’ predominant level of intercultural competence with a detailed interpretation of that level of intercultural development and associated transitional issues.
  • ICS logoIntercultural Conflict Style (ICS) Inventory is the premier assessment tool for identifying fundamental approaches for resolving conflict across cultural and ethnic group differences. The ICS Inventory consists of 18 items and is a self-scoring, easy to use, cross-culturally valid and statistically reliable instrument that can be used for individual, group, and organizational level assessments.
  • strengthsfinderGallup StrengthsFinder is an assessment tool that identifies an individual’s top five unique strengths (out of 34 strength themes) so that they can start to develop those strengths into talents.
  • Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is critical in today’s increasingly global and diverse contexts, and enhances employee, manager, and organizational effectiveness. CQ assesses an individual’s capability to function effectively in culturally diverse settings by measuring four capabilities (CQ-Drive, CQ-Knowledge, CQ-Strategy, CQ-Action). It provides insights about an individual’s capabilities to cope with multi-cultural situations, engage in cross-cultural interactions, and perform in culturally diverse groups.
