Shauna Barnes is a consultant at Awaken Group, a global leadership development-consulting firm with expertise in aligning people to strategy specializing in taking leaders and managers through a transformational journey from assessments, executive coaching, leadership training, change management, and intercultural integration to drive innovation and creativity by unleashing the maximum potential of organizations.

Shauna Barnes’s professional experiences have led people to confront themselves so they may live their best lives. She started this pursuit as an advertising executive at TELUS Mobility, one of Canada’s leading telecommunications companies, where she led Marketing teams with innovation. She learned about the complexities that contribute to excellence in marketing and within people.

One of Shauna’s greatest values is championing the development of others. To honor this value, she attained her Masters in Adolescent Education. Her passion for human potential led her to develop curriculum and lead professional development for educators around building communities of global thinkers for the 21st century. Her studies at The Harvard Graduate School of Education offered her the opportunity to work with leaders building critical frameworks for educators to prepare students to be global-minded, and her work at Harvard also led her to work with international educators in Amsterdam. Her work focused on preparing educational organizations to meet new global challenges.

Shauna is Co-Founder of Create Possibility, an organization established to bring career and performance coaching to individuals in search of unleashing their human potential. Shauna has experience coaching executives and teams to generate possibilities for individuals and organizations to increase their employee engagement. She has designed corporate strategy for organizations to maximize their ROI for new hires.

Shauna has a passion for people and experiencing new cultures. She has traveled and worked in developing communities in both South America and Africa. Her work has focused on preparing communities to adapt to cultural shifts and the new realities of both funding and development work.

Shauna is a CTI career and performance coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation. Shauna holds a Masters in Education from D’Youville College and has participated in Graduate studies work at Harvard Graduate School of Education. She holds an Honors undergraduate degree in Media Information and Technoculture from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

Shauna is passionate about people, new cultures, cooking, spinning, and the ocean of possibilities.
